Meet Carly Fox

Carly Fox (she/her/elle) is a queer, disabled, neurodivergent disability advocate based out of Ottawa, Canada. Fox draws from her personal experience with physical/psychosocial disabilities and neurodivergence and her professional experience in Disabled Persons Organizations (DPOs) to raise awareness of systemic ableism, challenge oppressive structures, and pursue cooperation with disabled advocates around the world in order to realize the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities within her lifetime.

Fox is currently the International Chair for the Council of Canadians with Disabilities (CCD), the Communications and Partnerships Director for the National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS), and an International Development and Globalization student at uOttawa. Fox recently served on the Canadian Delegation to the 15th Conference of State Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and represented CCD at the 2022 Global Youth Disability Summit.
